TORC Housing Consortium was named the overall winner in the ‘Best Social Infrastructure Project’ category at this year’s Partnership Awards Awards 2022 with the entry ‘Social Housing PPP Programme – Bundle Two’. This project has delivered 465 ‘A’ rated energy efficient homes in eight schemes across six counties – Cork, Kildare, Clare, Galway, Waterford, and Roscommon.
Tuath is delighted to be part of TORC, a consortium led by Equitix who, together with Kajima Partnerships, are the lead sponsors and long-term majority investors in the project. The construction works were completed in a joint venture between JJ Rhatigan & Company
and Spanish firm, Obrascon Huarte Lain SA (OHLA). Facilities management services are being provided by Derwent fm with Tuath providing Tenancy Management Services.
TORC was delighted to form a collaborative relationship with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage as the approving authority, Cork County Council (sponsoring agency and lead authority), the National Development Finance Agency (procuring authority, project manager and financial advisor) and the five other local authorities in the bundle.”
